Nine surgeons have been trained at CURE International Hospital in Kabul through the facility’s OB/GYN fellowship, thanks to funding from Fistula Foundation. This fellowship is working to expand access to competent vaginal delivery and C-sections, helping to prevent obstetric fistula. In addition, Foundation funds are also being used to provide physical therapy, psychological support, transportation, meals and housing for women who receive treatment at the hospital.
