Ways to Participate

The Fistula Foundation is a fundraising organization dedicated to supporting the programs of the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital (AAFH). Below are the ways in which you too can help.

In the neighborhood?

In addition, we occasionally need volunteers in our office. If you live near Santa Clara, CA, check back frequently for available positions. If you are interested in volunteering with The Fistula Foundation, please email us with details at volunteer@fistulafoundation.org and someone will contact you shortly.

Join our Circle of Friends

The best way to volunteer—from anywhere—is to become part of our Circle of Friends program. You can plan and hold your own fundraising and informational events in support of the AAFH.

At Fistula Hospital

In most cases the Hospital can not accommodate volunteers as they already have a built in supply of helpers. For example, many former patients, unable to return to their villages due to the severity of their injuries after childbirth are trained as nursing aides. This solves the Hospital's staffing needs and the girl's need for a job.

While there may be no need for volunteer's, visitors are always welcome.
