"Blue Flower" Scarf:

Colors on the scarf may vary slightly

We are introducing a blue version of our popular flower scarf. The flower motif is designed to represent the lush gardens surrounding the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital, which patients and visitors alike find rejuvenating. The large gardens of wild flowers and grass provide an important part of the oasis of healing for which the Hospital is renowned.

The scarf was custom designed for the Fistula Foundation. It has a discreet "The Fistula Foundation, from despair to dignity" signature in the bottom corner. It is a full 3 feet by 3 feet square, so it can be worn as a shawl or a scarf. It is 100% silk.

With a donation of just $95 USD you can send your mother, or another woman you want to honor, this lovely gift. You can also, of course, obtain one just for yourself. Either way, we hope this scarf will help remind you of your important role in supporting the work of the Fistula Hospital.

Give the Gift of Dignity
Dignity Bracelet:

In recognition of the transformation from despair to dignity experienced by patients at the Hamlin Fistula Hospitals, the Fistula Foundation has launched the Dignity Bracelet Campaign.

The Dignity Bracelet was designed by a Fistula Foundation volunteer who joined Oprah Winfrey on a visit to the women at the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia. Though it isn't possible for everyone to visit the Fistula Hospital, it's now easier than ever to make a personal connection to the cause while restoring dignity to fistula patients in Ethiopia. We encourage you to wear the Dignity Bracelet with pride as a reminder of the women you help with your gift of $125 or more.

The silver-plated linked Dignity Bracelet incorporates the Fistula Foundation logo and features the word "dignity" in English on one side and in Amharic (an Ethiopian language) on the other side of the central bead. It arrives in a special box and makes an excellent gift for friends and loved ones!

More about the Dignity Bracelet

The Dignity Bracelet was conceived and designed by Sue Hoese and her friends as a part of a Circle of Friends event called the Bead Together Circle of Friends. As a gift to the foundation, manufacturing and distribution are handled at cost by Jilco Inc. in Minneapolis, MN.

Dignity Earrings:

Give the gift of dignity! In appreciation for your gift, we'll send you silver-plated Dignity Earrings designed to match the Dignity Bracelet so that they can be worn together or by themselves. The earrings are for pierced ears only. Minimum donation is $65.

Love-a-Sister Tribute Gift:

For those wishing to make a gift that will likely never be forgotten, we encourage you to consider providing a gift equivalent to the cost of complete treatment for a woman at the Hamlin Fistula Hospitals. Since the Foundation began this program nearly 2000 women’s treatment has been covered by our "Love-a- Sister" supporters. For a gift of $450, the approximate cost to provide complete treatment for one woman, we will send the person you want to honor an 8 1/1" x 11" four-color certificate on high-quality paper that acknowledges that this life changing gift has been made in their honor.
